Open to ALL women veterans with lead presenter Miyoko Hikiji. Miyoko completed over 70-supply convey, security and raid missions while working as a unit journalist. During her nine years of service she earned 12 military decorations. Miyoko’s current mission is to inform the non-uniformed public about military service, inspire veterans to work toward healing their invisible injuries through art therapy, and to remind her audience that everyone has a story of value to tell.

Just as you learned the necessary physical skills for successfully balancing a bike, you can also learn the mental skills for successfully balancing your mind.  A balanced mind, like a balanced bike, responds appropriately and intelligently to obstacles encountered in life, and especially while riding busy streets. In this one of a kind workshop, learn the value of meditation and the benefits one can receive prior, during, and after a stressful experience or conflict.  You will be guided through a meditation and be given valuable techniques you can use any time to help ease yourself from a tense or fearful experience.  This 2-hour workshop is offered by donation, with donations to be given to the Boston Cyclists Union.
