Open to ALL women veterans with lead presenter Miyoko Hikiji. Miyoko completed over 70-supply convey, security and raid missions while working as a unit journalist. During her nine years of service she earned 12 military decorations. Miyoko’s current mission is to inform the non-uniformed public about military service, inspire veterans to work toward healing their invisible injuries through art therapy, and to remind her audience that everyone has a story of value to tell.

Whether you are new to meditation or have a long standing practice, this complimentary class is designed to help you cultivate a successful meditation practice that will support you on a path of wellness and awakening.  Learn what the latest research is offering on the many benefits of meditation and mindfulness.  Receive guidance on correct posture and learn the core essentials needed to meditate.  Experience three meditation techniques designed to steady the mind, relax the body, and fill the heart with ease, and receive a free recorded meditation to help support your practice!

Without intellectual understanding and knowledge, yoga practices may lack a clear sense of direction. By the same token, knowledge without practice is also fruitless. Deepen your practice by learning from ancient and modern teachings of yoga. This educational and experiential workshop may be a way to answer some of our questions as we learn about the eight limbs, the branches of yoga and more. The Balanced Bicyclist: A Discussion & Workshop on Mindfulness

Just as you learned the necessary physical skills for successfully balancing a bike, you can also learn the mental skills for successfully balancing your mind.  A balanced mind, like a balanced bike, responds appropriately and intelligently to obstacles encountered in life, and especially while riding busy streets. In this one of a kind workshop, learn the value of meditation and the benefits one can receive prior, during, and after a stressful experience or conflict.  You will be guided through a meditation and be given valuable techniques you can use any time to help ease yourself from a tense or fearful experience.  This 2-hour workshop is offered by donation, with donations to be given to the Boston Cyclists Union.

Join Lisa Campbell, US Air Force veteran and Warriors At Ease Meditation Teacher, for this hour long meditation experience designed to bring you inner peace and ease of mind.  Learn simple breath techniques that calm the body and easy meditation techniques designed to steady the mind.  All techniques are beneficial for those who work with symptoms of post-traumatic stress.  You will receive a resource list for veterans and a complimentary recorded meditation using the techniques used in class.

Arrive for your holiday season de-stressed and ready for success!  In this fun and experiential class, learn simple breathing techniques you can practice standing in the check-out line or waiting to have your gifts wrapped.  Experience a guided meditation with Himalayan bowls that will fine tune and relax your mind and body, then be guided through a very special heart-centered meditation that will align and awaken you to the true magic of the holidays.  We’ll seal the evening with a blessing event to tie together our heartfelt insights.
